2012 Chevrolet Sonic Overview Puget Sound Cars

Art Gamblin Motors is very excited to present the new Chevrolet Sonic. The Sonic is an innovative small car that has literally redefined its class. Yes, the Sonic offers top fuel efficiency at 40 highway miles per gallon and excellent handling and suspension. But the Sonic does a lot more than simply meet or exceed small car standards—the Sonic redefines them. The Interior of the sonic offers over 90 cubic feet of space. The sedan offers 14 cubic feet of trunk space and the hatchback offers over 19 cubic feet of trunk space—more than the Corolla or Civic, both of which are in a larger car class. The standard ECOTEC 1.8L engine and the optional 1.4L ECOTEC turbo charged engine in the Sonic makes the vehicle powerful, responsive and efficient, both in terms of fuel economy and very low maintenance.
The suspension of the Sonic was expertly designed and tuned by top engineers that worked on the world-class Corvette and Cadillac CTS-V. Professional drivers ran the Sonic through intense batteries of extreme road conditions and the Sonic passed these tests with excellent handling and quiet comfortable ride. The Body-Frame Integral design of the Sonic makes its rigidity and stiffness comparable to that found in high-end luxury cars. This and too many other features too numerous to list contribute to the Sonic’s rally car like handling and the Sonic’s incredible durability, quality and extreme value.
The Chevrolet Sonic has achieved a Top Safety Pick rating by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, performing at the highest standards in all crash test categories. The Sonic is equipped with 10 airbags, more than any other car in its segment and more than some vehicles in a larger class. The myriad of incredible safety features like brake assisting and the StabiliTrack Stability Control System give the Sonic an edge in safety unparalleled by other vehicles in and out of its class. This fact is further solidified by the high quality materials used to construct the Sonic. The Sonic is made of 60% high grade steel. The roof of the Sonic is capable of holding over 4 times its own weight.
All of the genuine quality and innovation in the Sonic is displayed perfectly through its exterior and interior style, inspired in part by the best aspects of motorcycle design. The Sonic sedan and hatchback both exude modern sophistication and youthful sportiness and adventure in an aerodynamic design that is both attractive and functional. 2012 Chevrolet Sonic Performance Pugegt Sound Cars

Here at Art Gamblin Motors we love cars. So it should be no surprise that we love the new Chevrolet Sonic with its dominating and responsive 1.8L ECOTEC engine standard on the Sonic and the even zippier optional 1.4L ECOTEC turbocharged engine. The ECOTEC engine provides not only excellent power, torque, and reaction time; but also extreme dependability, very low maintenance, and high efficiency all coupled with low emissions. The Sonic’s engines are similar to the ECOTEC engines used in the excellent Chevrolet Cruze, so you can be sure that the Sonic’s engine will provide you with a spectacular driving experience that is both thrilling and safe. The Chevy Sonic is also capable of delivering just the right driving experience specific to your needs, with the choice of a 5 or 6 speed manual transmissions or a 6 speed automatic transmission with clutch-free tap shifting.
The high quality of the Sonic’s ECOTEC engine is made possible by a combination of its excellent design and high grade parts. The ECOTEC 1.8L engine and the 1.4L turbocharged engine both have dual overhead cams and sequential multiport fuel injection with 16 valves and continual variable timing. The result of this excellent combination of design innovation and quality materials produces smooth operations and very responsive acceleration while still giving excellent fuel economy. The 1.8L ECOTEC engine delivers 138 horsepower and 148 pounds of foot torque. The 1.4L ECOTEC turbo engine available in Sonic LT and LTZ trims delivers 138 horsepower at less RPM than the 1.8L and gives 148 pounds of foot torque. Whichever engine you choose for your new Sonic, you can be assured that you will get great efficiency, power and very low maintenance with either one of these great engines.
At Art Gamblin Motors we know that different people have different driving needs. That is why we are excited to offer the Sonic, which can easily accommodate any driving style. For those that want a hands-on driving experience the 5 or 6 speed transmissions will give you that in spades, with quick shifting and a silky clutch. But, even those new to driving a manual transmission will find the experience of driving a manual Sonic enjoyable and easy; with features like break assistance on hills to prevent you from sliding back on those tricky starts. For those that prefer an automatic transmission the Sonic’s 6 speed option is an excellent choice. Not only will you get the ease of auto shifting, you will also have the ability to engage the transmission with clutch-free tap shifting—a great way to experience more control on freeways, while still having the choice to allow the auto shifting while in stop and go traffic.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic Safety

Here at Art Gamblin Motors we are delighted to present the new Chevrolet Sonic because it is an excellent car that offers high performance, efficiency, functionality and also a very high level of safety. The Sonic has achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick and a 5-star overall vehicle score for safety. This means that the sonic performed at the highest levels in all categories of crash testing. This is not surprising when you consider the extensive list of cutting edge safety features that the Sonic offers. The Sonic uses 10 airbags—that’s more airbags than most full-size cars! The Sonic also uses a traction control system that limits wheel spin if any of the wheels lose traction. The amazing StabiliTrak Stability Control System employed by the Sonic constantly makes sure that the Sonic is following the drivers intended path. If the Sonic doesn’t seem to be following the driver’s intentions, the system will automatically engage the appropriate break and traction systems to correct course.

The Sonic’s braking system is highly advanced; utilizing 4-wheel antilock brakes, a break assist system that engages the antilock system and other features very fast in case of an emergency situation. The Chevy Sonic uses a tire pressure monitoring system that warns you when specific tire pressure is low. The Sonic has automatic daytime running lamps that help you be seen on the road. The Body-Frame Integral design of the Sonic greatly enhances the crash and roll protection of the vehicle. The Chevy Sonic is constructed of 60% high grade steel, making the roof strong enough to support 4 times the Sonics weight! The Chevrolet Sonic is equipped with 10 airbags—the most is its segment and more than some vehicles in a larger class! All the safety belts in the Sonic use 3 point safety technologies and the back seat of the Sonic has a special anchoring system in place for car seats. OnStar, standard in all models of the Sonic, has an automatic crash response system that calls for help in case of an accident.

All of the above features and many more make you safe when driving a Chevy Sonic and we here at Art Gamblin Motors are very proud to offer the safe, high quality Sonic. 2012 Ford F-150 vs 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche Washington Cars

2012 Chevrolet Avalanche vs Ford F-150
At Art Gamblin Motors we recognize that the Chevy Avalanche is a segment defining vehicle that is unsurpassed in its utility, versatility and performance in its segment. The Ford F-150 just can’t compete with the Avalanche on any level. The Avalanche has greater power, performance, handling, safety and functionality. Below is a short sampling of some of the ways in which the Chevrolet Avalanche outperforms the Ford F-150:
Safety: For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Avalanche are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Ford F-150 has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Avalanche’s standard pretensioning seatbelts sense rear collisions and tighten the front seatbelts accordingly to protect passengers from injuries including whiplash. The F-150 doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.
Warranty: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Avalanche 40,000 miles longer than Ford covers the F‑150. The Avalanche’s corrosion warranty is also 1 year longer than the F‑150’s.2012 Chevrolet Avalanche  Engine: The Avalanche’s Vortec 5.3L V8 Sequential Fuel Injection engine produces 18 more horsepower than the Ford F‑150’s standard 3.7 DOHC V6. The Avalanche’s Vortec engine is also equipped with FlexFuel which allows it to run on emissions reducing E85 fuel. Active Fuel Management is also standard. Both the sequential fuel injection system and the Active fuel management system allow the Avalanche excellent fuel economy and efficiency. Moreover, the Avalanche has 5.5 more gallons of fuel capacity than the standard F-150. This allows the Avalanche a greater maximum driving range than the F-150. The F-150 offers nothing comparable to these features.

2012 Chevrolet Avalanche Suspension and Handling: The front and rear suspension of the Avalanche use coil springs for a smoother ride, more responsive handling and precise control than the F‑150, which uses inferior leaf springs in the rear. The Avalanche also has an available driver controlled suspension system. The F‑150’s suspension doesn’t even offer adjustable shock absorbers. For better handling the track on the Avalanche is wider than the F‑150’s. The Avalanche’s engine vibration is almost nonexistent in the cab because it has liquid-filled engine mounts. The F‑150 still uses inferior conventional solid rubber engine mounts. The Avalanche offers car-like ride and handling, while the F-150 has unresponsive control and a rough ride.  At Art Gamblin Motors, your Puget Sound Car Dealer, we know that the Chevy Avalanche simply dominates over the Ford F-150. So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Avalanche with us here in Enumclaw Washington and experience the Avalanche’s high level of power and performance for yourself. You will surely appreciate our welcoming pressure-free environment staffed by friendly expert sales associates. Most importantly though, we have been family owned and operated for over 40 years, which is why we have always treated all our customers as family. 2012 Ram 1500 vs 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche

At Art Gamblin Motors we recognize that the Chevy Avalanche is a segment defining vehicle that is unsurpassed in its utility, versatility and performance in its segment. The Ram 1500 just can’t compete with the Avalanche on any level. The Avalanche has greater power, performance, handling, safety and functionality. Below is a short sampling of some of the ways in which the Chevrolet Avalanche outperforms the Ram 1500:
Safety: For increased safety, the front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Avalanche are height-adjustable, and the rear seats have child car seat anchors. The Ram 1500 has only front height-adjustable seat belts and child safety anchors. The Avalanche’s standard pretensioning seatbelts sense rear collisions and tighten the front seatbelts accordingly to protect passengers from injuries including whiplash. The 1500 doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.
The Avalanche also has standard daytime running lamps that increase its visibility to other drivers. The Ram 1500 doesn’t have daytime running lights. The Avalanche also has OnStar available, which uses GPS and cellular systems to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, track down your vehicle if it’s stolen and even send emergency personnel to the scene if there is a collision. The Ram 1500 doesn’t offer anything comparable to OnStar. And these are just a few of the ways in which the Avalanche is superior to the Ram in safety.
Warranty: There are over 40 percent more Chevrolet dealers than there are Ram dealers—making it much easier to get service under the Avalanche’s Chevrolet warranty.2012 Chevrolet Avalanche
Power and Performance: The Avalanche’s Vortec 5.3L V8 engine produces 105 more horsepower Ram 1500’s standard 3.7L V6! This allows the Avalanche to dominate over the Ram with a minimum tow capacity that is 1,550 pounds higher than the Ram’s! The Avalanche’s Vortec engine is also equipped with FlexFuel which allows it to run on emissions reducing E85 fuel. Active Fuel Management is also standard. Both the sequential fuel injection system and the Active fuel management system allow the Avalanche to achieve excellent fuel economy and efficiency. The Ram 1500 offers nothing comparable to these features. Moreover, the Avalanche has 5.5 more gallons of fuel capacity than the standard Ram 1500. This allows the Avalanche a greater maximum driving range than the 1500.The Avalanche has an automatic transmission that offers manual control with tap-up tap-down shifting. This means that drivers get the convenience of an automatic transmission, while also have the control of a manual transmission without worrying about a clutch—giving you the best of both worlds! The Ram fails to offer a transmission that allows driver control of the gears. Ultimately, the Avalanche simply offers more power, performance, efficiency and utility standard than the Ram 1500.
2012 Chevrolet Avalanche Suspension and Handling: The front and rear suspension of the Avalanche use coil springs for a smoother ride, more responsive handling and precise control than the 1500, which uses inferior leaf springs in the rear. The Avalanche also has an available driver controlled suspension system. The 1500’s suspension doesn’t offer any kind of driver adjustable shock absorbers. For better handling the track on the Avalanche is wider than the 1500’s. The Avalanche’s engine vibration is almost nonexistent in the cab because it has liquid-filled engine mounts. The 1500 still uses inferior conventional solid rubber engine mounts. The Avalanche offers car-like ride and handling, while the Ram has unresponsive control and a rough ride.

At Art Gamblin Motors, your Bonney Lake Car Dealer, we know that the Chevy Avalanche simply dominates over the Ram 1500. So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Avalanche with us here in Enumclaw Washington and experience the Avalanche’s high level of power and performance for yourself. 2012 Ford Mustang vs 2012 Chevrolet Camaro

2012 Camaro vs Ford Mustang
The Chevrolet Camaro has a competitive advantage in every category over the Ford Mustang. At Art Gamblin Motors we are very confident in the Camaro and below is just a sampling of why:

Safety: For improved safety, the Chevrolet Camaro’s rear seat shoulder belts have child comfort guides to move the belt to properly fit children. The Ford Mustang doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts. The Chevrolet Camaro has Daytime Running Lights to help keep it more visible under all conditions. The Mustang doesn’t offer Daytime Running Lights. Compared to metal, a plastic fuel tank can withstand harder, more intense impacts without leaking—decreasing the chance of a fire. The Camaro has a plastic gas tank, while the Ford Mustang has a metal gas tank.Reliability: The battery on the Camaro is in the trunk, which protects it from hot underhood temperatures, which will shorten battery life. The Mustang’s battery is in its hot engine compartment.

2012 Chevrolet Camaro
Engine: The Camaro simply has more powerful engines than the Mustang. The base level Camaro LS with a 3.6L DOHC V6 delivers 323 horsepower compared to the Mustang GT with a 3.7L DOHC V6 that offers only 305 horsepower. When we compare upper level models we see an even more distinct advantage in the Camaro. The Camaro 6.2L supercharged V8 delivers 580 horsepower. Mustang’s answer to this is its 5.4L supercharged V8 that delivers only 550 horsepower. That’s 30 horsepower less than the Camaro. Every Camaro engine model consistently outperforms its “comparable” Mustang counterpart from the entry level to the upper level—Camaro dominates the Mustang.
The Camaro boasts a segment exclusive engine control system that can shut down half of the engine’s cylinders to improve the Camaro SS Automatic’s fuel efficiency. The Mustang doesn’t offer any comparable system. The Camaro Convertible’s standard fuel tank has 2.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Mustang. The Camaro Coupe’s standard fuel tank has 3 gallons more fuel capacity than the Mustang. This means that driving range between fill-ups is much greater with the Camaro than the Mustang.2012 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Ride and handling: For superior ride and handling, the Chevrolet Camaro has fully independent front and rear suspensions. This allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for optimal traction while still maintaining ride comfort. The Ford Mustang has a solid rear axle, with a non-independent rear suspension—a simply inferior suspension system. Furthermore, the Camaro’s wheelbase is 5.2 inches longer than the Mustang’s wheelbase, which results in more stable handling and a smoother ride. For greater stopping power the Camaro’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Mustang. In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes hard enough to stop the vehicle in the shortest distance. That’s why the Camaro has a standard brake assist system to detect emergency braking situations that will automatically apply maximum braking immediately in order to help prevent a collision. The Mustang doesn’t offer any brake assist feature. For better handling and traction, the Camaro has larger standard and optional tires than the Mustang. The Camaro’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Mustang V6 standard 65 series tires. The Camaro ZL1 Coupe’s tires also have a lower 35 series profile than the Mustang GT500’s optional 40 series tires.
2012 Chevrolet Camaro Comfort and ConvenienceThe Camaro uses gas struts to support its hood for easier service access. The Mustang uses a prop rod to support its heavy hood—so it takes two hands to open the hood and set the prop rod. Its prop rod gets in the way during maintenance and service so the prop rod could be knocked out resulting in the heavy hood falling on someone. In order to help each driver find a more comfortable driving position, the Camaro has a standard telescoping steering wheel. This is much better than just a tilt steering wheel or adjustable seat like the Mustang offers. Because the Mustang doesn’t offer a telescoping steering wheel drivers—especially shorter drivers—will find it difficult to find a comfortable driving position in the Mustang. The Camaro LT and SS offer an optional heads-up display which projects speed and other key instrumentation readouts onto the windshield, allowing drivers to view information while still keeping their eyes on the road. The Mustang doesn’t offer any heads-up display. The Camaro includes a standard automatic headlight on/off feature. When the ignition is on, the headlights automatically turn on at dusk and off after dawn. The Mustang only offers an automatic headlight on/off feature as an extra cost option. The Camaro LT and SS’ optional outside mirrors include heating elements better visibility. The Mustang doesn’t offer heated side mirrors at all.The Camaro LT and SS offer optional automatic dimming rear and side view mirrors that automatically darken when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Mustang fails to deliver dimming side mirrors. The Camaro also has more passenger and cargo room, which is why the Camaro is rated a Compact car by the EPA, while the Mustang is rated as only a Subcompact. The Camaro Coupe has 9.7 cubic feet more passenger volume, 1.6 inches more front shoulder room, along with more head and rear leg room than the Mustang Coupe. The Camaro Convertible also has 12 cubic feet more passenger space than the Mustang Convertible including more head, shoulder and leg room.

Warranty: In the end, you know that you are guaranteed nothing short of total excellence with the Camaro because it’s backed by the full confidence ofChevrolet’s industry-leading powertrain warranty—which covers the Camaro 40,000 miles longer than Ford covers the Mustang! The Camaro’s corrosion warranty is also 1 year longer than the Mustang’s. Clearly, if Ford was as confident in its Mustang as Chevrolet is in its Camaro, then Ford would offer an equivalent guarantee—but Ford doesn’t.The Chevrolet Camaro represents the pinnacle of muscle cars—with its striking and powerful exterior, luxurious and comfortable interior all wrapped up in a convenient and accessible package. This allows drivers to really tap into and make the most out of the remarkable power and performance of the Chevy Camaro. So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Camaro with us here in Enumclaw surely appreciate our welcoming pressure-free environment staffed by friendly expert sales associates. Most importantly though, we have been family owned and operated for over 40 years, which is why we treat all our customers as family. Come in and see why Art Gamblin Motors, your Puget Sound used Car Dealer, is a superior place to buy a vehicle, and you will understand why we are the top online rated Chevrolet dealer in the state!

2012 Toyota Tacoma vs 2012 Chevrolet Colorado Washington Cars

2012 Chevrolet Colorado vs Toyota Tacoma

At Art Gamblin Motors we are confident that the The Chevy Colorado out performs the Toyota Tacoma. Below is just a short sampling of the reason why:

Safety: The front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Colorado are height-adjustable. The Tacoma only has front height-adjustable seat belts and no whiplash protection. The Colorado also has standard OnStar, which uses a GPS receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you’re locked out, help find your vehicle if it’s stolen or even automatically send emergency personnel to your location if needed. The Toyota Tacoma fails to offer anything comparable to OnStar. Parking assistance sensors in the Cruze, excluding the LS model, warn the driver of obstructions, which greatly reduce the chance of accidents. The Tacoma offers nothing comparable to this. Full time four-wheel drive is also optional on the Chevy Colorado. Full-time four-wheel drive gives added traction for safety in all conditions, while the Tacoma only offers 4-wheel drive that helps when off-roading.Engine:The Colorado has more powerful standard and optional engines than the Tacoma, which allows the Colorado a higher standard payload capacity than the Tacoma and greater overall performance. According to the EPA the Colorado also gets better fuel efficiency than the Tacoma. The EPA’s Green Vehicle Guide even rates the Chevrolet Colorado higher than the Toyota in environmental friendliness meaning that the Colorado produces much less smog than the Tacoma.  pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Tacoma every 15,000 miles.
2012 Chevrolet Colorado Warranty:Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Colorado 40,000 miles longer than Toyota covers the Tacoma. Colorado’s corrosion warranty is also 1 year longer than the Tacoma’s. There are also nearly 4 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Toyota dealers—making it a lot easier to get service under Chevrolet’s warranty than Toyota’s.   Interior: The Colorado Extended Cab Pickup offers optional seating for 5 passengers; the Tacoma Access Cab can only carry up to 4. The Colorado Crew Cab Pickup offers optional seating for 6 passengers; the Tacoma Double Cab can only carry up to 5. The Colorado Extended Cab Pickup has 2.3 inches more front legroom, 3 inches more rear headroom and 4.9 inches more rear hip room than the Tacoma Access Cab. The Colorado Crew Cab Pickup has 2.3 inches more front legroom and 2.1 inches more rear legroom than the Tacoma Double Cab. The Colorado’s cargo box is larger than the Tacoma’s in almost every dimension. To prevent tailgate loss and help secure heavier cargo from theft, the Colorado offers an optional tailgate lock cylinder. The Tacoma doesn’t offer a tailgate lock.
At Art Gamblin Motors, we understand that the Chevy Colorado simply dominates its segment and outperforms the Toyota Tacoma in every what that matters the most. So we invite you to come test drive a new Chevrolet Colorado with us here in Enumclaw Washington and experience the Silverado’s high level of power and performance for yourself. You will surely appreciate our welcoming pressure-free environment staffed by friendly expert sales associates. Most importantly though, we have been family owned and operated for over 40 years, which is why we have always treated all our customers as family. 2012 Porsche vs 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Kent Car Dealer

2012 Chevrolet Corvette vs Porsche  Safety: The Corvette comes with standard GPS enabled OnStar service, which offers everything from turn-by-turn directions to automatic crash response that sends out emergency personal to your exact GPS coordinates. The Porsche has no GPS enabled system comparable to OnStar.    Warranty: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Corvette 1 year and 50,000 miles longer than Porsche covers its 911. There are over 21 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Porsche dealers. This means it is drastically easier to get your Chevrolet Corvette serviced on its warranty than it is to get your Porsche 911 serviced on its already inferior warranty. Reliability: The Corvette has a standard “limp home system” which keeps the engine running on half its cylinders if engine coolant is lost. This prevents a Corvette driver from being stranded. The Porsche offers nothing comparable to this—so your vehicle could be severely damaged if you lose fluid engine fluid and you will also be stranded. The Corvette even offers “run flat” wheels that will run for 100 miles at speeds of 55mph even with reduced tire pressure, so a flat will also not leave you stranded. Engine, Power and Handling: The Corvette, simply put, offers greater horsepower and torque than the Porsche. The Corvette also offers significantly higher torque at lower rpm than the Porsche. The Corvette also has 1.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the 911, giving the Corvette a greater fuel range. The Corvette offers a shift indicator to help the driver easily achieve the maximum efficiency and performance from their car. The Porsche doesn’t offer this feature. The Corvette has larger standard tires and a greater wheel base. This along with suspension features like the Corvettes Magnetic Selective Ride Control and Active Handling standard grant the Corvette more precise handling than the Porsche.   Awards: The Corvette was recommended by the Consumer Report and received an award from Kiplinger. Porsche was recognized by neither of these respected publications. At Art Gamblin Motors, we know the Chevrolet Corvette is undeniably superior to the Porsche. So we invite you to come test drive a new Corvette with us here in Enumclaw Washington. You will surely appreciate our welcoming pressure-free environment staffed by friendly expert sales associates. Most importantly though, we have been family owned and operated for over 40 years and have always treated our customers as family. Come and see why Art Gamblin Motors is a superior place to buy a vehicle, and you will understand why we are the top online rated Chevrolet dealer in the state!

2012 Toyota Corolla vs 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Puget Sound Car Dealer

2012 chevrolet cruze vs toyota corolla Safety: The front shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Cruze are height-adjustable, and the rear seat shoulder belts have child comfort guides that allow the belt to properly fit children. The Corolla only has front height-adjustable seat belts and no child comfort guides. The Corolla’s child locks have to be individually engaged manually at each door. The Cruze, however, has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver’s seat and to know when they are locked. The Cruze also has standard OnStar, which uses a GPS receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you’re locked out, help find your vehicle if it’s stolen or even automatically send emergency personnel to your location if needed.  Those are just a sampling of what OnStar offers. The Toyota Corolla doesn’t have anything comparable to OnStar. Parking assistance sensors in the Cruze, excluding the LS model, warn the driver of obstructions, which greatly reduce the chance of accidents. The Corolla offers nothing comparable to this. The Toyota Corolla also lags significantly behind safety when stacked up against the Cruze’s 10 standard airbags—the Corolla only has 6 airbags total. 2012 Chevrolet Cruze  Quality, Reliability and Durability: Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Cruze 40,000 miles longer than Toyota covers the Corolla. The Cruze’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Corolla’s. There are nearly 4 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Toyota dealers, making it a lot easier to get service under the Cruze’s warranty than Toyota’s. The Chevrolet Cruze’s engines use a cast iron block for durability. The Corolla uses an aluminum block for its engine, which is more likely to warp and crack than cast iron. Power and Performance: Both ofThe Cruze’s available ECOTEC engines produce 6 more horsepower than the single engine the Corolla offers. The Cruze’s 1.4L turbo engine also accelerates faster at lower RPM that the Corolla’s engine, going 0-60 faster than the Corolla. The manual Cruze Eco gets 7 more highway mpg than the Corolla. The Cruze also holds 2.4 more gallons of fuel than the Corolla granting the Cruze greater fuel range. A six-speed manual is standard on the Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze’s transmission also uses superior gear ratios for enhanced performance and a lower final drive ratio for quieter highway operation, much less engine wear and better fuel economy. The Toyota Corolla only offers an inferior five-speed for its manual transmission. The Cruze’s optional automatic transmission is also a 6-speed as opposed to the Corolla’s inferior 5-speed automatic. A 6-speed automatic is available on the Chevrolet Cruze as well, while the Corolla offers only a 4-speed automatic! Drive and Handling: The Cruze offers better traction than the Corolla with larger 16” standard wheels whereas the Corolla has only 15” wheels standard. The Cruze LTZ offers 18” wheels while the Corolla LE offers only 16” wheels as optional. Standard handling in the Cruze is also greater than in the Corolla because the Cruze LS/LT wheels have a lower profile than the Corolla’ standard series tires. Superior handling in the Cruze over the Corolla is solidified by the Cruze’s longer wheelbase.  Interior: The Cruze is a highly efficient compact vehicle that exceeds all expectations. However, the Cruze offers so much cargo room and interior space that the EPA classifies it as a midsize vehicle.
