Alan Has a Deal That Can’t Be Beat
Here is one of the BEST DEALS I can ever remember from Chevrolet. It entails an alternative form of financing called a lease. Before you say leasing is not for me, here are some people who lease their vehicles. Three of my own children and the Comptroller, Service Manager, Finance Managers and Office Staff at Art Gamblin Motors all lease their vehicles. For most people, leasing a new Cruze makes perfect sense. With this two year lease you get over $1,500 more in rebates, lower interest and at the end of two years you can buy the car for a predetermined value, trade it in, or if you don’t have equity, just return it in good condition. I hear people say, “I don’t own my vehicle if I lease.” Remember, if you have a conventional loan, you don’t own your car, the bank does.
Why would Gamblin and Chevrolet lease a new Cruze for $139 per month for two years? The answer may be that there is a new body style change coming soon and we are betting you will want to drive that in two years. Think about it. Leasing makes sense for my family and it probably makes sense for someone in yours too.

The All New 2016 Chevrolet Malibu
The Chevrolet Malibu is an enduring classic that helped launch the midsize sedan segment more than 50 years ago. It drives into the future with an all-new 2016 model engineered to offer drivers more efficiency, connectivity and advanced safety features than ever – all with a brand-new, progressive design.
Longer and lighter, the new Malibu also offers drivers more interior space. Its wheelbase has been stretched close to four inches (101 mm), and it is nearly 300 pounds (136 kg) lighter than the previous model.
An all-new hybrid powertrain, which uses technology from the Chevrolet Volt, helps the 2016 Malibu attain fuel efficiency that’s unsurpassed in the segment – a General Motors-estimated 48 mpg city, 45 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined. The Malibu’s standard 1.5L turbo powertrain is EPA-estimated at 37 mpg on the highway.
“The all-new Malibu offers an engaging performance, advanced safety features, and forward thinking technologies, all packaged in a sleek design,” said Alan Gamblin. “It’s a great, fuel-efficient midsize car option for customers.”

- The Malibu LS, starting at $23,995, includes a standard Chevrolet MyLink Radio with a 7-inch-diagonal color touch screen, available compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a rear vision camera

Chevrolet Introduces 2017 Cruze Hatch
Ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show, Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Cruze Hatchback. Developed with all the technologies and dynamic driving attributes of the all-new 2016 Cruze sedan, the new hatch adds a functional and sporty choice for customers. It joins Colorado and Trax as the latest Chevrolets to push into new segments.
The Cruze Hatch has the same, class-leading 106.3-inch (2,700 mm) wheelbase as sedan models, but features a unique roof and rear-end structure – including wraparound taillamps and an integrated spoiler at the top of the liftgate. It opens to offer 22.7 cubic feet (643 liters) of cargo space behind the rear seat. With the rear seat folded, cargo space expands to 47.2 cubic feet (1,336 liters).

An all-new, more rigid and lighter architecture is the Cruze’s foundation for driving dynamism, while also playing a significant role in safety and efficiency. It is more than 200 pounds (91 kg) lighter than the previous-generation model due largely to a body structure that is 100 pounds lighter and an engine that’s 44 pounds (20 kg) lighter.
The Cruze lineup is offered in L, LS, LT and Premier – and a more expressive RS package, featuring unique front and rear fascias, rocker panels, rear spoiler, fog lamps and – on the Premier model – 18-inch wheels.
The 2017 Cruze Hatch will be offered in LT and Premier trims, and with the RS package.

Chevrolet Introduces 2017 Bolt EV
Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Bolt EV at the Consumer Electronics Show, fulfilling its promise to offer a long-range, affordable electric vehicle for the masses.
The Bolt EV, which will go into production by the end of 2016, will offer more than 200 miles of range on a full charge. It also features advanced connectivity technologies designed to enhance and personalize the driving experience.
Connectivity Simplifies Ownership Experience
The Bolt EV benefits directly from the suggestions and ideas of Volt owners and features technologies that make owning a long-range electric vehicle easy.
The Bolt EV’s connectivity innovations will provide smart, personalized solutions for managing the driving experience. For example, in the future an accurate driving range projection will be based on the time of day, typography, weather and the owner’s driving habits.
Bluetooth low-energy – designed specifically for the Bolt EV to minimize energy draw – seamlessly connects a smart phone to the car while the owner approaches the vehicle.
Many of the Bolt EV’s driver-focused technologies are supported by OnStar 4G LTE, which turns the Bolt EV into a Wi-Fi hotspot, giving owners easier access to apps and services via a high-speed wireless connection.
Other connectivity and infotainment features include:
- 2’’ MyLink color touch-screen display
- Customizable, widget-based “flip-board style” operation.
- Rear Camera Mirror
- Rear-facing camera provides a wide-angle view of the environment behind the vehicle.
- Surround Vision
- Provides a bird’s-eye view of what’s around the Bolt EV for improved safety during low-speed driving and when parking.
- All-New MyChevrolet Mobile App: Combines important owner and vehicle information and functions, such as:
- Vehicle charge status
- OnStar Map service
- Remote start
- Cabin pre-conditioning
- Owner’s manual information
- Dealer service scheduling
- EV Navigation Mapping
- EV-specific navigation capability that designs routes to maximize range and provide locations of nearby charging station locations if needed.
- Gamification
- In the future, Bolt EV owners will be able to “compete” by comparing driving styles to determine who is driving most efficiently.

Chevrolet Colorado Win Motor Trend 2016 Truck of the Year
The all-new Chevrolet Colorado with its all-new 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel engine won the 2016 Motor Trend Truck the Year awards on Nov. 16, 2015. It is the second consecutive Truck of the Year award for Colorado, the mid-size pickup introduced as a 2015 model.
“With the Camaro and the Colorado turbo-diesel being named as the 2016 Motor Trend Car and Truck the Year, it proves that Chevrolet is building vehicles with great versatility that meet the wants and needs of a wide-spread customer base,” said Alan Gamblin
The Colorado diesel offers the best fuel economy for a pickup truck in the United States, with an Environmental Protection Agency-estimated 31 mpg on the highway for two-wheel drive models, and the highest trailering capability in the midsize truck segment: up to 7,700 pounds (2WD) when equipped with the available trailering package.
Colorado is available this fall, in four-door extended or crew cab models with Work Truck, LT and Z71 trim levels. The diesel engine is offered in LT and Z71 Crew Cab models with 2WD or four-wheel drive. It features a variable-geometry turbocharger for optimal power and efficiency, and is SAE-certified at 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm.
Both the Camaro, which won Motor Trend Car of the year in 1982, and the Colorado are well-connected, offering Chevrolet MyLink with phone integration capability for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as OnStar 4G LTE connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
