Tyson Gamblin makes a trip to EHS

Recently Tyson Gamblin took some time to go visit some classrooms at Enumclaw High School and talk to students about how things such as there studies in school will help them with there careers in life. One particular class he visited was Mr.Lovelford’s math class. Lovelford said ‘ I think the lesson taught by Tyson gave students a chance to see the stuff we are learning is used in the real world every day.’ Which is true as the students also appreciated the fact that somebody from an industry was using these math techniques instead of just another teacher. Mr.Lovelford said ‘ students got something out of this and learned some very valuable information about things such as predictions in the industry.’ Also in exchange for Mr.Gamblins lesson Mr.Lovelford gave him some Chutney and a nice card!

Enumclaw Cross Country

‘Fabulous!’ is how the 2011 Enumclaw Cross Country teams trip to state was described by head coach Jeff Jacobson. However on there adventure down to Pasco they rented two vehicles from Gamblin Motors (a Van and a Traverse). Most people do not know that Art Gamblin Motors has a Rental Department.

Jacobson says that he ‘loves renting cars from Gamblin because the vehicles are always clean, good shape and ready to roll.’  The vehicles were not the only thing ready to roll as the girls ended up finishing 13th in whole sate ofWashington and the guys finishing in the middle of the pack of 3A SPSL. Another statement from Jacobson was ‘there was enough room for everybody.’ That is quite a compliment seeing they had 8 girls, 2 boys and 2 coaches! On a last note he also when it comes time to rent a car for state again he would choose a Gamblin Motors Chevy!

Gamblin Motors New Owners Clinic

It’s not too often that the place to be at Gamblin Motors is in the body shop. But for this ‘New Owners Clinic’ that was the case. The purpose of the clinic was to explain that at Art Gamblin motors when you buy a vehicle with them that not all she wrote. It should be your location for any vehicle needs. Whether you get in a collision and need auto repair or your car gets dirty and you need to get it washed it should be the center for all car services Seattle. Tom Rockwood who is in charge of financing at the Enumclaw Dealership explained the advantages of extending your service agreement. Or how they are very competitive with tire sales and can mark them down. Also the fact that even if you don’t have a Chevy you can feel free to bring your cars in for repair or maintenance. But there were also several light hearted festivities going on such as raffling off some Chevy attire like hats and sweatshirts. Even Alan Gamblin threw some trivia to the audience asking who was on the 20 dollar and when answered correctly was given that 20! But hold on nobody left with empty stomach it was a catered dinner by the always delicious Enumclaw Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant. So what can we take away from this? If you purchase a vehicle here then its your one stop destination for any Tacoma area vehicle problems and always know your presidents cause you never know when you could win some money off it.

Enumclaw Homecoming game sponsored by Gamblin Motors

With the stands at Pete’s Pool filled to the max, it was a loud venue for the visiting Auburn Mountain View Lions. That didn’t stop them from coming out of the gates fired up. They drew first blood to take a 7-0 lead 7 minutes into the first quarter. The Hornets’ 12th Man stayed loud and positive which motivated junior Bryson Grant to get a nice kick return to set up the Enumclaw offense. That was eventually stopped by the Lions with an interception.

The second quarter came up fast and the Hornet defense was caught off guard and allowed another Auburn Mountain View touchdown only 2 minutes in to the second. The Hornets’ offense has some struggles this year but turned it around this drive as a couple runs by sophomore back Cameron Strecker set up a Quarterback Scramble from Tyler Carlson. The stands got loud as they got to show off what Enumclaw spirit really looked like while the homecoming bell and siren went off to add to the noise of the celebration.

6 minutes remained in the half as the hornets looked to give the ball back to the lions. But it was all downhill for the rest of the first half for the Hornets.  The Lions had an untouched kick return to make the score 21-7 in favor of Mountain View. The Enumclaw offense came out looking to repeat what happened last time but came short and went 4 and out. The hot and fired up Lion’s offense took the field and with some nice passes led to another touchdown in the air.

Hold on. The end of the chaotic finish of the first half did not end yet. With less than 20 seconds on the clock, Enumclaw threw an interception to the linebacker of the Lions who ran until tackled by Tyler Carlson and Erick Ritzdorf on their own 2. That setup the last play of the first half which was a quick slant route scoring for Lions. The ending score of the first half was 34-7. The Hornets trying to defend their title of never losing to Auburn Mountain View was on the line. How would they finish?

After the homecoming halftime festivities came to a conclusion, the Hornets and Lions came back out on to the new turf to find the relatively same story as the first half.  The only score of the 3rd quarter was a result of a touchdown reception from the 6’2 junior wide receiver Adam Cosgrove. Could it be the turning point of the game? Well in the early minutes of the 4th, the lions QB did a little 2 yard sneak to poke it in the end zone to pad the lead in their favor.

After some good defensive drives from both sides, Auburn Mountain View scored for the last time of the game to make their lead to 48-14. But the sophomore running back Cameron Strecker had enough to motivate him to power his way up the field and to get the 6 points and final score of Enumclaw. Enumclaw goes on to make the PAT to make the final score 48-21 Auburn Mountain View. That’s all she wrote at Pete’s Pool this year for Enumclaw’s homecoming game sponsored by Art Gamblin motors.

Chevrolet Volt Makes Visit to Enumclaw

Red 2011 Chevrolet Volt

Alan Gamblin has been around cars his whole life.  He rarely gets really excited about a new car that comes out.  He is pretty tight lipped when it comes to new products but when Chevrolet gave a special Chevrolet Volt to Art Gamblin Motors for Creation Fest 2011 and the Enumclaw Street Fair Alan was beyond excited.  The car blew him away and that is all he could talk about for a week.  Alan Gamblin was the only person that could drive the car from the Enumclaw Expo Center back to the dealership at night to charge up the Volt. While the Volt was with Art Gamblin Motors it consumed  0 gallons of gasoline and ran the whole time on electricity.   The Chevrolet Volt is the 2011 North American Car of the Year and if it blew Alan Gamblin away it definitely will blow you away.

Not only did Chevrolet send a Volt up from California it also sent out a product specialist from Michigan to talk with guests at Creation Fest and the Enumclaw Street Fair.  The Volt is an extended range electric car that can run up to 40 miles on pure electricity and when the electricity runs out the gas engine kicks in.  As Motortrend Magazine said about the Volt, “The Future is Here and America is Back in the Game.”

After the event Art Gamblin Motors had to say goodbye to its Chevrolet Volt.  Art Gamblin Motors will be getting its first retail Volt this fall.  So stay tuned and check out our inventory on website www.gamblinmotors.com to see when the Volt will arrive.

Art Gamblin Motors was once again excited to be a sponsor at Creation Fest 2011.  The turn out was great and the weather was even better.  Gamblin Motors donated special VIP vehicles for the staff and artists for Creation Fest.  Alan Gamblin even negotiated with Chevrolet for a Chevrolet Volt to be at the event.

Saturday night was the big night as it was the closing night of the 4 day event.  The band Skillet was on hand and Chevrolet Zone Manager Ron McCants was on there to launch-shirts off the stage!

Enumclaw Street Fair Gets a JOLT from the VOLT

The 2011 Enumclaw Street Fair was in full force on July 22 and 23  through the streets of Enumclaw. The 2011 Enumclaw Street Fair is sponsored by the Enumclaw Rotary Chapter.   Enumclaw Rotary was proud to sponsor a project that reaches out into the community, into the Puget Sound Region, to benefit all participants, invite visitors and breathe new life into the economic and cultural development of our town: The Enumclaw Street Fair.

July 22 and 23 was a busy couple of Days for Enumclaw as it was also the same weekend when Creation Fest Northwest invaded the Enumclaw Expo Center.  The Street Fair had a shuttle running every 30 minutes from the Expo Center to downtown Cole Street.  One of the big hits over the years has been Enumclaw Idol.  On Friday 20 contestants competed to be invited back for Saturdays Finals where the crown Enumclaw Idol would be claimed.

Art Gamblin Motors Chevrolet Volt

Cannon Master Prepares for Creation Fest Northwest

Creation Fest Northwest 2010

Art Gamblin Motors at Creation Fest Northwest 2010

In 2010 Creation Fest Northwest moved from the Gorge Amphitheatre in Eastern Washington to Enumclaw Washington.  When the city of Enumclaw agreed to host the Christian Rock Festival many residents did not know what to expect.  Promoters of the event anticipated about 20,000 visitors a day.  When such high numbers were released as the amount of traffic expected most people in town did not believe there would be a turn out of that magnitude.

Once Alan Gamblin found out about the event coming to Enumclaw he called some of the organizers and asked what he could do to help with their first attempt of hosting the concert in Enumclaw.  A great relationship was formed between the organizers and Art Gamblin Motors.  Art Gamblin Motors provided the staff and crew with vehicles.  When Alan was approached last year to go on stage and give a 1 minute blurb about Art Gamblin Motors and his community he was a little hesitant but soon a ROCK STAR WAS BORN.

Since 2010 Alan has been waiting to go back on Stage and promote Art Gamblin Motors, Chevrolet and Enumclaw.  So in anticipation for Creation Fest 2011 Alan went out and custom made Chevrolet Creation Fest 2011 t-shirts and bought a t-shirt launcher.  Yes the Gamblin Man himself went out and bought himself a t-shirt launcher.  We now refer to Alan as the “Cannon Master” watch the video and you will know why.
