Enumclaw Rotary Street Fair

Street FairThe Enumclaw Rotary Street Fair has been a local tradition for many years.  If you grew up in Enumclaw you can remember heading down to Cole Street in the summer and enjoying all the festivities.  The Enumclaw Rotary Street Fair has something for everyone.  Take advantage of live music, artisan craft vendors, delicious food, auto and motorcycle shows, a community CrossFit workout, and lots of fun family activities.  Enjoy browsing the sale items from the businesses in Enumclaw.  There will be over 120 vendors, The kids will love the Kid Zone activities and carnival rides.  Everyone can participate in the 5K Run/Walk or Children’s 1K.  This flat and fast 5k course is great for kids in strollers to competitive racers, and everyone in between!  For more information about the 5K run/walk visit: http://www.enumclawstreetfair.com/id17.html.

We love to be one of the vendors at the Street Fair.  It is a great opportunity for us to share the latest Chevrolet and Buick models.  Take the time to get up close with these cars in a no-pressure setting.  We’d love to show what Chevy, the most awarded car company, has to offer.

This great event is sponosered by Enumclaw Rotary.  Rotary is the first service club founded in the United States in 1905. The Enumclaw Chapter of Rotary International works tirelessly throughout the year to benefit the citizens in Enumclaw.  The Enumclaw Rotary was charted on April 5, 1969.

Enumclaw Rotary has contributed to local improvements such as Rotary Centennial Park and supports:

Rotary First Harvest, where perishable foods are acquired in large quantities, sorted and given to local food banks;
The Enumclaw Senior Center, serving meals at special functions, organizing “honey do” teams to do yard work, change light bulbs, clean gutters, rake yards, and do whatever is needed by seniors who cannot help themselves;
Enumclaw Public Library;
KCSARC (King County Sexual Assault Relief Center);
POM (Plateau Outreach Ministries), especially their “adopt a family” program during the winter holidays;
Its annual Duck Race raises funds every year to benefit Enumclaw Regional Hospital;
The scholarship program for area High School Seniors is particularly important and these selected students are each named “Student of the Month” and are featured guest speakers.

EHS Football Carwash

EHSCarwash4

With the recent success of the Seattle Seahawks it seems that everyone is a football fan these days in the Puget Sound area.  Here at Art Gamblin Motors we have been loyal Enumclaw High School Football fans.  It goes all the way back to the early 1970’s with Alan Gamblin playing for the Hornets.  Decades later the two Gamblin boys (Tyson and Andrew) wore the maroon and gold for the mighty Hornets. We love our Football here in Enumclaw.  The tradition continues with our strong support of Enumclaw Athletics and the football program.

This past May marked the 9th Annual Enumclaw High School Football Car Wash.  This is the 8th year that Art Gamblin Motors has hosted the car wash at its Truck Center location.  This is a great spring time event in Enumclaw and most residents can’t wait to get their car washed from eager football players. This is not your normal car wash.  Within an 8 hour period the football players will wash around 400 vehicles.  Art Gamblin Motors loves clearing out their front row at the Truck Center to allow three lanes of rinsing, washing and drying.  The football player’s pre sell car wash tickets and what they earn goes directly into their summer camp fund.  This year the Enumclaw Football team will be traveling east of the mountains to Central Washington University football camp.

After the cars are washed drivers are asked by Enumclaw High School cheerleaders to take a test drive.  For every test drive Art Gamblin Motors donated $20 per test drive.  Art Gamblin Motors was excited to donate $1000 to the Enumclaw High School cheerleaders.

If you missed the car wash this year keep your eye on the Gamblin Motors Facebook page to find out the date of next May’s car wash.
